At around 7.10am on Thursday 28 November 2019 police were called to reports of a collision between a Blue Peugeot 107 and a pedestrian crossing the road on a mobility scooter on Wash Lane.
The man on the scooter sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The woman driving the car remained at the scene.
No arrests have been made and officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact police.
