A man charged in connection with an assault on two police officers in Rochdale has appeared at court.
Christopher Hill (28/06/1990) of no fixed abode, appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court earlier today (Saturday 11 April 2020).
He was remanded to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday 7 May 2020.
He is charged with attempt section 18 assault (attempted to unlawfully and maliciously cause grievous bodily harm), assault of an emergency service worker and criminal damage.
Whilst responding to an incident on Thursday 9 April 2020 on Drake Street in Rochdale, two officers were punched. One of those officers – a 21-year-old police constable – was then seriously bitten.
