A man has been charged after emergency service workers were abused and one was then assaulted in Salford.
Derek Mithcell (14/02/43), of Wellington Street West, Salford, has been charged with the following-
He was remanded in to custody and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Saturday 11th April 2020. He was then further remanded to reappear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Thursday 16 April 2020.
On Thursday 9 April 2020, police were called to Mandley Park in Salford to reports that a man was abusing paramedics.
An officer was then assaulted and their uniform was damaged.
Following this, a second officer was racially abused.
A man was then violent in police custody.
