A man has been charged in connection with the murder of a woman and attempted murder of a man in Wigan.
Andrew Wadsworth (07/10/83), of Cranfield Road, Wigan has been charged with murder, attempted murder, threats to kill, possession of a bladed article and two counts of assaulting police officers.
He was remanded in custody and appeared before Wigan Magistrates Court this morning (Friday 22 May 2020). He has been further remanded and will appear at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square on Tuesday 26 May 2020.
Shortly before 4.10pm on Wednesday 20 May 2020, police were called to Upholland Road in Wigan to reports of a stabbing.
A woman believed to be in her 30s sadly passed away at the scene and a man in his 40s remains in hospital receiving treatment.
