Wasim Iqbal (20/08/1997), of Chorley New Road, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
He appeared yesterday (Thursday 19 November) at Wigan Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded to next appear at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday 17 December 2020.
Police were called at 12.05pm on Friday 13 November to Chorley New Road, Bolton, to reports of a collision involving a black Audi and a pedestrian.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the pedestrian – formally identified as 58-year-old Gay Elizabeth Wharton - sadly passed away at the scene.
