Shaun Hudson (16/02/2002) of Epping Drive, Sale has been charged with two counts of assault and one count of possession of a bladed article.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Manchester Magistrates court on Saturday 17 April 2021.
Officers were called to the Sale Metrolink stop on Kingston Drive at around 9pm on Wednesday 14 April to a report of a stabbing.
Upon the emergency services arrival, a 16-year-old boy was found to have suffered cuts to his face, neck, and body following an altercation with three young men who ran from the scene.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition with life-changing injuries.
