A man has sadly died following a road traffic collision on Stanley Grove in Longsight yesterday afternoon (12 August 2021).
Officers were called at around 4.20pm to a report of a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
Emergency services attended and the driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital but has since sadly died.
A number of closures were put in place whilst emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the car assisted officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made.
Police Sergeant Neil Pennington, from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said:
"Our thoughts are with the man's family who are understandably distressed and devastated.
"An investigation into this collision is on-going and anyone who may have seen anything, has any information or has dash cam or CCTV footage is asked to contact us.
