Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy was assaulted by a large group of around 10 youths.
Officers were called at around 5.10pm yesterday (24 August 2021) to a report of an assault on Sherborne Road, Cheadle Heath, Stockport.
Emergency services attended and enquiries established a boy in his teens had been attacked.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and he has since been discharged.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
Detective Inspector Chris Aunins, of GMP's Stockport division, said: "A young man ended up in hospital yesterday evening after being viciously assaulted in what we believe to be a random attack.
"We are appealing for anyone who may have mobile, CCTV, or dash-cam footage of the incident to get in contact with police on 101 quoting reference number 2413-240821.
"Details can be passed via our online LiveChat function at www.gmp.police.uk or via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
"We also would like to speak to the woman who called the ambulance after the attack as we believe that she may be able to help us with our enquiries."
