Sixth person charged following the murder of a teenage boy in Moston

Nelson Correria (10/08/1999) of Landsdowne Court, Oldham has been charged with violent disorder and the murder of 16-year-old Alexander John Soyoye.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow morning (Saturday 28 November 2020).

Just after 7pm on Thursday 5 November 2020, police were called to reports of a disturbance on Birchenall Street, Moston.

Officers attended and established that Alexander John Soyoye had been stabbed. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of emergency services.

Four other men and a teenage boy have also been charged with murder and have been remanded into custody ahead of further court appearances.
