A man has been charged in connection with an attempt rape in Droylsden

Kevin Lee Martin (6/12/1983) of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempt rape. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court tomorrow (Monday 20 December).

 

Shortly after 3pm on Sunday 14 December 2021, officers were called to a report that a female had been assaulted on Sunnybank Vale, Droylsden, near to Greenside Lane.

 

Police attended and enquiries established that, at around 2.45pm, the female had been walking through a wooded area of Sunnybank Vale when she was assaulted by a man.

 

The young woman - who is in her late teens - fought back and the man subsequently fled the scene.
