Agha Rahimi (DOB 01/08/1993), of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of a bladed article and two counts of possession with intent to supply class C drugs.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court this morning (24 December 2021).
The charge is in relation to a disturbance in the Strangeways area of Manchester earlier this week.
Police were called around 3.35pm on Wednesday (22 December) to Great Ducie Street to a report of a disturbance.
Emergency services attended and enquiries established a man had been assaulted by another group of males.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.
Enquiries are ongoing.
