Police have made an arrest after reports a man had a firearm at a Manchester shopping centre.
Police were called shortly after 4pm on Wednesday 8 December to a report of a man with a suspected firearm at Manchester Fort Shopping Park, Cheetham Hill Road.
Armed officers attended but the male had fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Officers arrested a 24-year-old man in the Cheetham Hill area today (Friday 10 December 2021) and he remains in custody for questioning on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
Anyone with information about the incident - including dashcam or CCTV footage - should still contact police online, if able, or via 101 quoting incident 1936 of 8/12/2021.
