Police appeal for information after serious collision in Bolton

Officers are appealing for information after a man was left with serious injuries following a collision on St Helens Road in Bolton today (Tuesday 21 December 2021).
Police were called just before 5.40am this morning to a report of a collision involving three vehicles on St Helens Road.
Enquiries established that two vehicles collided on the road and hit a parked and unattended vehicle.
Emergency services attended and the driver of one of the vehicles - a man in his 20s - was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains there in a critical condition.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene to assist officers with enquiries.
Police Constable Oliver Batty, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "We are currently investigating this collision and would urge any members of the public that may have seen the incident or been in the area before or after the collision to please contact us.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
