Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with an assault in Bolton.
The four - three aged 15 and one aged 16 - remain in custody for questioning following the incident on Friday 3 December 2021, when a vulnerable 32-year-old man was attacked on George Street, New Bury, Farnworth.
The victim suffered serious injuries and has been treated in hospital.
Detectives identified the four suspects from CCTV and arrested them on Thursday 9 December.
Detective Sergeant Christopher Hickey, of Bolton CID, said: "The man was viciously assaulted and punched to the floor.
"He suffered severe injuries in the process of this cowardly attack, which we are determined to get to the bottom of."
