A man has been charged after officers were injured whilst detaining a man in Longsight.
Antonio Balde-Djau (14/10/2000) of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of attempt wounding with intent, assault by beating of an emergency worker and obstructing/resisting a constable in execution of duty.
He has been remanded in custody before an appearance at Manchester Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 15 February 2021).
On Sunday 14 February 2021, three officers were injured whilst detaining a man on Stanley Grove, Longsight. One officer sustained injuries to his head and another was left with a broken hand. They have since been discharged from hospital.
