Appeal following firearms discharge in Manchester

Detectives are currently investigating following a firearms discharge in Manchester overnight.
Just after 1am (27 February 2021), officers received a report of a party at an address on Fairway Avenue in Manchester. Around 10 minutes later, a further call to a report of shots being fired at the address was received.
Officers attended and thankfully, no one was injured. Bullet casings were found by detectives and recovered for forensic analysis.
A scene is currently in place whilst detectives continue to carry out enquiries.
Detective Inspector Christopher Maddocks, from GMP's City of Manchester division, said: "This is understandably an incident that has left a community worried and we're currently working to understand what happened and who was responsible.
"A scene is currently in place and I'd like to thank residents nearby for cooperating whilst we carry out with enquiries.
"At this time, we believe the incident to have been isolated and would ask anyone with information to come forward.
