At around 6am this morning (Friday 9 July 2021) officers from GMP's City of Manchester Challenger Team executed three warrants at addresses in Reddish, Chorlton and Sale Moor.
During the warrants a 46-year-old man was arrested at an address in Reddish. He was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class a drugs, money laundering, being concerned in supply of class a drugs and participating in activity of an OCG.
He remains in custody for questioning.
Jewellery items were all also seized.
Today's action forms another part of the mammoth Operation Foam, which is GMP's strand of the NCA led 'Operation Venetic'.
Operation Foam is a lengthy and intricate force-wide operation focused on the infiltration and takedown of the encrypted communications platform Encrochat, often used by organised criminal groups.
