Two men who died following a collision in Newton Heath yesterday (25 July 2021) have been named.
Police were called to Oldham Road just after 5am on Sunday to reports of a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike.
Emergency services attended, and despite the best work of paramedics, two young men were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The two men have been named as 28-year old Jordan Slack and 20-year-old Ben Gallagher.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this collision.
PC Phil Collingwood, of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "This is a devastating incident in which two young men have sadly lost their lives and our thoughts remain with their family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
"An investigation is under way into the circumstances leading up to the crash - anybody with information or dashcam footage of this collision is asked to call police on 0161 856 4741 quoting log 0730 of 25/07/21."
