Detectives have launched an investigation following a firearm discharge in Chorlton
Officers were called just before 9.45pm on Tuesday 29 June 2021 to a report of a firearm discharge at a property on Caldervale Avenue, Chorlton.
Police attended and, following enquiries, located damage to the window of a property that was consistent with that of a firearm discharge.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the incident and no injuries have been reported.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going.
Detective Inspector John Robb of GMP's South City of Manchester district, said: "This incident will be understandably of great concern to the local community and we would like to reassure locals that patrols have been increased in the area as our enquiries continue.
"A full investigation has been launched into this incident and we're following multiple lines of enquiry to identify those responsible.
"We're keen to hear from anyone in the area at the time, or who may have witnessed anyone or any vehicles behaving suspiciously.
"Even the most minor detail could lead to a breakthrough in our investigation, so do please get in touch."
