Police are appealing for information about a possible assault in Longsight, Manchester.
Officers were called to a report of a stabbing on Brynton Road at around 6.40pm on Sunday 14 March 2021.
A man in his 20s had self-presented at hospital with injuries to his arm and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault by grievous bodily harm. He remains in custody for further questioning.
Detective Inspector Stephen Wiggins said: "Detectives are currently working through this investigation and would like to hear from anyone with information or may have witnessed this assault.
"This was a violent attack and behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated on our streets - there will be an increased police presence in the area to reassure members of the public who may be particularly concerned by this.
"It is so important anyone with information contacts police and aids our enquiries so that we can identify those responsible and bring them to justice."
