A 54 year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of a woman in Wigan.
Wayne Ahearne (29/03/1966) of Scot Lane, Wigan has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Crown Court (Crown Square) on Monday 12 April.
At around 2:05pm on Saturday 13 March, police were called to Scot Lane, to reports that a woman had been assaulted.
The 45 year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and is in a stable condition.
