At 6pm on Tuesday (23 November) police were called to a report of a burglary at an address on Bankhall Road, Heaton Mersey.
Detective Inspector Charotte Whalley, of Stockport CID, said: "Officers attended and initial enquiries established that three men wearing masks had forcefully entered the property before continually demanding money from the elderly residents. The offenders searched the property before then fleeing the scene. Thankfully no one was injured.
"This incident was incredibly distressing for the victims who are in their 80s and 90s, and I would urge anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed these men in the area yesterday evening to please get in touch with us, as we need to locate these people and bring them to justice."
"The offenders are described as all around 6 feet tall, wearing black clothing and speaking with Manchester accents.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Stockport CID on 0161 856 9629 quoting log 2363 of the 23rd November 2021.
