Three men charged after dawn raids mark Greater Manchester's 200th Operation Venetic arrests

Detectives investigating the supply of drugs and firearms have charged three men

They will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court later today (Wednesday 17 November) accused of the following:

Michael Sierotko (17/11/1989), of Markham Close, Hyde, charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and conspiracy to supply a firearm;

Oliver Harrison (15/04/1990), of Hawthorn Drive, Glossop, charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, conspiracy to supply a firearm, and possession with intent to supply class B drugs;

Peter Downs (02/09/1977), of Rochdale Road, Bacup, charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B, and conspiracy to supply a firearm.

Officers from our Tactical Aid Unit - along with support from GMP Tameside, Lancashire, and Derbyshire constabularies - arrested the men before dawn on Tuesday 16 November.

They are the 200^th arrests as part of the NCA-led law enforcement operation - codenamed Venetic - investigating the encrypted communication network, EncroChat.

A 25-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs has been released under investigation.
