The two boys, from Cheadle, Stockport, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons have been charged with attempt burglary and going equipped to steal.
The 17-year-old was remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Magistrates' Court today (03/11/21) where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to eight months detention and a training order.
The 16-year-old has been bailed with a court date to be set in due course.
Police were called around 1.55am on 2 November to Lyncombe Close, Cheadle Hulme to a report of disturbance and two males in the garden of a property.
Officers were deployed and two males were arrested nearby.
