Update from Counter Terrorism Police North West following Liverpool car explosion.

Counter Terrorism Police North West have now concluded searches at a property on Rutland Avenue in relation to the terrorist incident at Liverpool Women's Hospital and the cordon has now been lifted.

A scene will remain in place at the specific address, however this is expected to be released in the coming days.

We extend our thanks to the community for their continued patience and co-operation throughout our investigation.

Our investigation remains very much ongoing.
