Officers received a report on Sunday 3 October 2021 of a robbery that had occurred on Frodsham Road, Sale earlier at around 4pm that afternoon.
Enquiries have since established a 16 year-old boy was walking along the road when he was approached by a male on a moped. The moped stopped the boy to ask for the time before driving off.
He then later circled back and passed the boy before stealing jewellery from around the boy's neck.
Thankfully the victim was left uninjured
An investigation was launched and following enquiries a 21 year-old male was arrested at an address in Sale. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has since been released on bail.
A 20-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and drug offences. She has been released pending further enquiries.
