The third day of the Conservative Party Conference has come to an end, and our officers were out in force once again, despite the bad weather.
We saw some speedy reactions from one of our officers in St. Peter's square when they saw a man have a drink thrown over him at around 4pm yesterday (Monday 4 October) and quickly made an arrest. A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault, and has been bailed with conditions.
Officers also made a public order arrest in St Peter's square this morning, and the man was later de-arrested after agreeing to leave the area peacefully.
Superintendent J.P. Ruffle has also been speaking about how the security operation's been going:
Tomorrow is the final day of the conference, and the operation will be centred around the Prime Minister's speech.
As always, if you need our assistance, or you see something that doesn't seem quite right, don't hesitate to speak to one of our officers. Or it you'd prefer, you can get in touch via Livechat on this website, or call 101. Always call 999 in an emergency.
