At around 7pm yesterday (27 October) police were called to a report of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Cale Green in Stockport.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the pedestrian - a man in his 40s - was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene to assist police with their enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
