Bury's Challenger team charge man in connection with drugs found at Prestwich property

Darius Apara, of Clifton Road in Prestwich, was arrested at 6.30am on Wednesday 21 December following a warrant at his property.

The 29-year-old was taken into custody and subsequently charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs, producing a class B drug and money laundering.

The charges relate to a search of the address that led to 61 cannabis plants being recovered from the bedroom, almost £16,000 in cash found in the kitchen along with 1kg of MDMA and £40,000 worth of crystal meth amphetamine.

Apara has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday 22 December.
