Two men were put into the back of our police vans in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 1 December) after a warrant was executed in Levenshulme. Detectives arrested the men at a property on Prestbury Avenue. The 21-year-old is now in custody on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and MDMA and money laundering and the other man, aged 34, was detained on suspicion of possession of cannabis and being concerned in the supply of cocaine and MDMA. A knife, approximately £1,000 worth of cash and some drugs were seized inside the property as well crack cocaine from a car at the property. The warrant was executed by GMP’s City of Manchester’s Challenger central team, with assistance from the tactical aid unit. Detective Constable Andy Moore, from GMP’s City of Manchester Challenger central team, said: “Today we have made more arrests as we drive out organised drug related crime in Greater Manchester. “I hope the public, and those we believe are involved in a criminal network, are assured that we’re going to continue to be relentless in our pursuit and I want to encourage the local community to keep reporting information knowing that we will do the rest.” If you have information in relation to drug activity, please contact us online via LiveChat, if able, or by calling GMP via 101. Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website. |
