Detectives investigating an assault in Bolton appeal for information

At around 9.30pm on Friday 16 December 2022, a man in his late 40s was assaulted on Broach Street in Bolton.

Following enquiries, it is believed a 49-year-old was assaulted and had his bike stolen by 7 men who made off from the scene towards Heywood Park, Bolton.

Zain Azim (19/05/2004) of Green Lane, Bolton and Hashikesh Patel (09/01/2004) of Lowther Street, Bolton have been charged in connection with this incident and have been remanded into police custody. 

Detective Sergeant Ellie Sproat from GMP’s Bolton Crime Investigation Department, said: “We’ve been following up a number of lines of enquiry since the incident and we’re now in a position to appeal for the public to come forward with any information they may have.
