Police are appealing for information after a road traffic collision in Bury

At around 11:40am today (Saturday 24 December), GMP were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Manchester Road, Bury between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Emergency services attended and a woman in her 80s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of causing injury by careless driving.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
