Just after 1pm on Saturday 17 December 2022, officers were called to reports of an armed robbery at a Post Office on Finney Lane, Heald Green, Stockport.
It is believed that money and other items were stolen during the incident.
Rakib Shah, 27/04/1997 and Aksar Shah, 30/05/1994, both of Denewell Avenue, Manchester charged with Robbery and Possession of an Imitation Firearm/
Both have been remanded to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on 23/12/22
Three other males, between the ages of 19 and 38 have also been arrested in connection with the offence and have since been bailed.
Detective Inspector Kellie Lawson from GMP’s Stockport CID, said: “I understand that this incident caused concern in the community. Our officers have been working tirelessly throughout the investigation to piece together a timeline of events leading up to the incident. Their hard work and dedication has meant that we can secure these charges.
"I would like to use this opportunity to thank members of the public who have shared information with us.”
