The family of 34-year-old Ashley Walsh, who went missing on 7 January 2022 in Collyhurst before officers later found a body in nearby Sandhills Park, have paid tribute to him.
In a short statement, Ashley's family said: "Ashley, you have been tragically taken from us & our lives will never be the same.
"He was a loving son, brother & father that was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
"Rest in peace Ashley, you will be forever in our hearts.
Two men have been since been charged in connection with his death.
Aaron Evitt (05/06/1988), of Brentnor Road, Manchester, and Gerrard McGlacken (06/12/1976), of Kintore Walk, Manchester, have been charged with murder.
Ashley was last seen on Kintore Walk at around 11pm on the 7 January 2022.
Officers later found a body, which have since been formally identified as those of Ashley's, in a wooded area of Sandhills Park in Collyhurst.
A 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. She has since been released on bail.
