Man charged in connection with a sexual assault in Harpurhey.

Following a public appeal, a man was arrested and has been charged with sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

Pierrie Onaghise, (27/01/1990), of Dalham Avenue, Blackley, was detained on Monday 17th January 2022, following information received from the public after CCTV images of Onaghise were published in an attempt to identify him.

The offence relates to an incident which occurred on Sunday 9 January 2022, when it was reported to police that an unknown male had gained access to an address in Harpurhey, where he proceeded to enter the bedroom of the victim.

He is then reported to have sexually assaulted her before leaving the address.

Onaghise will next appear at Manchester Crown Court  on  Wednesday 23^rd February 2022
