Police were called at around 4.05pm on Tuesday 11 January 2022 to Astley Street, Dukinfield to a report of a fight involving knives.
Emergency services attended and enquiries established two people - a man and a woman - had been stabbed inside a property on the street.
They were taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life threatening or changing and have since been released.
A full investigation was launched and detectives have since arrested a 36-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman in the Dukinfield area on suspicion of section 18 assault.
They remain in custody for questioning.
Enquiries are ongoing.
