Two men have been charged following an investigation into non-recent sex offences in Rochdale.
Ajaz Ahmed (07/08/1968), of Rochdale, has been charged with the following offences:
He appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on 9 June 2022 and released on bail to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on 14 July 2022.
Richard Moore (25/05/1962), of Hemel Hempstead, has been charged with rape and will be at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on 5 July 2022. He has been released under investigation.
The allegations relate to incidents in the early 2000s with the investigation carried out as part of Operation Blencathra, a dedicated investigation team in Rochdale.
