A motorcyclist has sadly died in a collision in Tameside.
Just after 10.15pm last night (8 May 2022), officers were called to a report of a road traffic collision involving a black motorcycle on Mottram Moor in Mottram.
Emergency services attended and an 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and specialist officers are supporting them at this time.
PC Phillip Collingwood, from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family who are understandably devastated at the loss of their loved one and we’re doing all we can to get the family the answers they need.
“I would ask anyone with information or anyone who may have seen the black motorcycle prior to the collision to get in touch.
“Witnesses and those with information are asked to call 0161 856 4741 or report it online or via LiveChat at www.gmp.police.uk.”
