A man has been charged in connection with the attempt kidnap of a girl in Monton

Sean Anthony Gillings (06/09/1989) of no fixed abode, was arrested on Sunday 27 November 2022, following an appeal to the public.

CCTV captured images of a dark, hatchback vehicle, with a distinctive silver wing mirror cover, on Monton Green, where the attempt kidnap of the 15-year-old had been reported on Monday 21 November 2022.

This appeal resulted in the arrest of Gillings, who was then questioned and charged yesterday, Tuesday 29 November 2022. He remains on bail for the other two attempt kidnaps whilst further investigations are ongoing.

Gillings was today, (Wednesday 30 November 2022), remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Square Court on Wednesday 4 January 2023.
