Detectives investigating have issued new images taken from a CCTV camera of a man they wish to speak to.
Following extensive enquiries since June, it is believed there was an altercation between two groups, the victim was punched from behind and fell to the floor, where he was knocked unconscious.
Detective Constable Phillip Sargeant said: "The victims’ injuries are serious – we wish him a quick recovery and our thoughts are with his loved ones. This incident has caused great upset for his family, who seek closure.
