Detectives release CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Tameside

At around 7pm on Tuesday 26 July 2022 officers were called to reports of a violent disturbance on Welbeck Street North, Tameside.

Extensive enquiries have been ongoing since the time of the incident, with a number of arrests already made in connection, and detectives are now in a position to appeal to the public to identify the man in the image who may be able to assist with their enquiries.

DC Ryan O’Hanlon from the CID at Ashton Police Station said “This was a brutal assault carried out in broad daylight in a busy, residential area, with one of the victims still suffering from the injuries he sustained. Our investigation is ongoing and we're keen to identify this person so he can help us with enquiries."
