GMP Road Policing Unit Officer arrested two people after being found in possession of £60K worth of cannabis and £1.5K in cash in a vehicle on M60

On Wednesday 30 November 2022 at around 12:56am, an on-duty Road Policing Unit officer noticed a vehicle driving in a suspicious manner on the M60 motorway close to Junction 6 at Trafford.
The officer subsequently signalled the driver to stop the vehicle.
After the officer stopped the vehicle, the two occupants of the vehicle and the vehicle were searched and approximately £60K worth of cannabis, £1.5K worth of cash and other drugs were found and seized from the vehicle.
A 42-year-old man was charged and remanded into custody for:
- Possession of cannabis with intent to supply
- Possession of mephedrone with intent to supply
- Possession of a cocaine
A 40-year-old woman was also released under investigation.
