Officers from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died in South Manchester.
An 86-year-old man was involved in the collision with a Toyota Aygo at the junction of Parrs Wood Road and School Lane in Didsbury at about 2:15pm on Monday 14 November 2022.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital, where he sadly died. His next of kin has been informed.
The 51-year-old male driver of the Toyota was arrested at the scene, and later rearrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He remains in custody for further questioning.
