At approximately 6:30pm last night (Saturday 19 November 2022), officers responded to a disturbance at a pub on Vernon Street in Bolton.
It was reported 3 men had entered the pub, one of them armed with a suspected firearm. Fortunately, it was not discharged, and no injuries were reported.
No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is progressing at pace and Greater Manchester Police Criminal Investigation Department is pursuing multiple lines of enquiry.
The incident is not believed to be connected to wider disturbances on Parkfield Avenue and Lavender Road in Farnworth last night (19 November 2022), but investigators are keeping an open mind.
Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident - or may have footage - to please share it. You can do so via www.gmp.police.uk or by calling 0161 856 5567 quoting incident number 2634 of 19.11.2022. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
