Michael Daniels (26/08/1983) from Wythenshawe has been charged after being identified as a suspect for a number of crimes where during an arrest attempt he threatened an officer with a knife.
The Trafford Neighbourhood Crime Team have been investigating a series of commercial burglaries and thefts that have taken place in Trafford, the south of Manchester and Cheshire over the last six weeks.
Daniels was identified as a suspect, where during an arrest attempt, he threatened an officer with a knife.
He subsquently made off from the scene and a large scale search took place over several days utilising resources from different districts and Specialist Operations.
Daniels, who has no fixed address, was then arrested on Thursday 13 October 2022 and interviewed where was charged with the following offences; seven counts of burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft through shoplifting, as well as threatening a person with a bladed article, possession of cannabis and absconding lawful custody.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today (15/10/2022).
