An arrest has been made following an investigation into a firearms discharge in Harpurhey over the weekend.
At around 11.20pm on Sunday, 16 April 2023, Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a firearms discharge at a property on Rochdale Road, Harpurhey.
A 30-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and remains in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Charlotte Quinn, of GMP’s City of Manchester North division, said: “This has been a fast-paced investigation and our officers have worked quickly and professionally.
"I hope that this arrest shows the public that we take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and will act swiftly to ensure the protection of our community.
“We are still eager to hear from anyone who may have any information, and ask that they report anything that they may have to GMP."
