Police have arrested another man following the murder of 32-year-old Zikel Bobmanuel.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains in custody ahead of being questioned by officers in GMP’s Major Incident Team.
Officers were called to an address on Welland Street in Openshaw at approximately 2pm on Saturday 25 March 2023. Sadly, Zikel was pronounced dead at the scene from what is believed to be gunshot wounds.
Detective Inspector Matthew Hamer of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said “We have a team of detectives working round the clock to establish the circumstances leading up to Zikel’s death.
“Our inquiries are far from over and we are still appealing for information to help with our investigation, anyone can contact us with information regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
“Anyone who may have any information is urged to do the right thing and report it – it may be crucial in our inquiries.
