Detectives investigating the murder of Thomas Campbell have released doorbell footage of a third suspect and say the net is closing in on him.
During their meticulous investigation, officers established that there were three men involved in the fatal attack at Thomas’ home in the Riverside area of Mossley in July 2022.
Doorbell footage
The footage, released publicly for the first time, was captured in the area surrounding the scene on the night of Thomas’ death.
Reece Steven (29) has been sentenced to life in prison for his involvement and wanted John Belfield (28) was arrested in Suriname last month.
Detective Chief Inspector Liz Hopkinson, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Owing to the meticulous investigation and information from the public, we have already made significant progress in this case but we will not stop until all those involved face justice.
“We have a number of lines of enquiry but we know there will be people out there with information who haven’t yet come forward – I compel you to do the right thing and report it, either directly to GMP via https://mipp.police.uk/operation/06GMP22G12-PO1 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
