GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit appeal for information following a road traffic collision in Oldham

At around 8:10am on Monday 3 April 2023, a Hyundai i10 car was driving east along Sheepfoot Lane in Oldham approaching the junction with Oldham road.

At the same time the pedestrian was making use of a walking frame and began to cross Sheepfoot Lane when then the vehicle collided with the pedestrian.

Emergency services were called the scene and a man in his 80’s was taken to hospital and remains in hospital.

The driver remained at scene and assisted officers with enquiries. No arrests have been made.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
