On Thursday 8 June 2023 between 3pm and 3:30pm, a 26-year-old woman was on her way with another female family member to meet a male - known the victim - on Corporation Street in Manchester City Centre.
When she met the male, she began to chat to the male through his vehicles window, it is understood after further enquiries the victim had her arm through the male’s car window when she was talking to the driver.
Shortly after, the driver rolled up the car window trapping the victim’s arm in the car window. The driver then proceeds to act aggressively towards the victim, shouting aggressively and drove two to three meters forward with the females arm still trapped in the window.
As a result of this victim was received multiple areas of bruising to her arm. Eventually, the victim managed to get her arm out of the window and attempted to get away from the vehicle.
The driver is then believed to have drove towards the victim while she attempts to cross the road and thankfully has managed to move out of the way of the vehicle.
At this point, the driver has again reversed the vehicle towards the victim at which point she has jumped out of the way, run into the side street, and evaded the driver. The driver then fled the scene.
The driver was seen to be driving a grey Mercedes C Class with the registration plate of BF18 UXE.
It is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the community.
Officers are currently appealing for further information regarding this incident and witnesses to come forward.
